Biography
Born Debbe Dunning, she was a native Californian who was raised by her
parents in Burbank, California, USA. It was interesting to know that
the school where she graduated high school was the same as her
parents’ in John Burroughs High 20 years ago. It was a memorable
senior year she had in John Burroughs besides being a cheerleader,
when she became a homecoming queen and won the title of Miss Burbank
of 1984.
In 1984, a heartrending situation happened when the vacation money
intended for the family was stolen. It was during this time that
Miller Beer is hosting a bikini contest at Hermosa Beach and without
second thought, Debbe joined. Luckily, she won the $500 first prize
and quickly donated it to the vacation fund. In addition to that, this
is where her career started off relatively unexpected. It was followed
by topping a series of bikini contests across Southern California. She
also maintained her title at Miller for three years and her image
appeared in posters and began showcasing her in personal appearances.
This is the point of realization where Debbe have to decide if she
will enter the world of show business or not.
Debbe was given more exposure when she appeared in her first
commercial “Foot Locker” and made way to a plethora of modeling and
product endorsement jobs. The most notable commercial she did was this
3 year stint with Taco Bell where she played a character Louise, the
“Run for the Border Girl” and caught America’s attention. Debbe was
credited for her almost 60 commercials including the Ford Spot with
“Pretty Woman” tune. This stunning beauty has graced the covers of
several sports magazines, such as "Triathlete," "Shape," and "Muscle &
Fitness”. It was no doubt that Debbe will soon hit the screens and
made a transition in acting.
Debbe made her acting debut on the HBO series "Dream On" which was
directed by John Landis. It was followed by a cameo role in 1988’s
“Dangerous Curves” by David Lewis. This comedy TV program was about
comparing women to fast cars and here, she performed a role of a
beauty pageant as Debra Dunning. In 1991, she was cast in the
family-comedy “Home Improvement” and had appeared in 80 episodes from
1991-1993. Her role as Heide Keppert started out as guest appearances
(“Tool Time girl”) until the show installed her as a regular later. It
is interesting to know that “Home Improvement” was taped in her
hometown Burbank that’s why she found it easy to go back and forth
during tapings.
What about her flying trapeze act in CBS’ Circus of the Stars?” Quite
astounding as she stunned not only circus audiences but TV viewers as
well in 1994’s “Circus of the Stars Goes to Disneyland. Also
performing with her are celebrities like Harry Anderson, Scott Baio,
Leslie Nielsen and Phyllis Diller.
In 1995, Debbe appeared in TV’s (Disney’s) Spring Break Blast with
Katie Wagner. Also in this year, she played the role as a public
defender (Ima Barrister) in Lorenzo Doumani’s comedy film “The Misery
Brothers”. The following year, Debbe was cast in a low budget sci-fi
horror flick “Leprechaun 4: In Space”. Here, she played the role of
Private Delores Costello who battled in space to destroy a space
monster.
Debbe had done a lot of guest appearances like in "Silk Stalkings
(USA),” on HBO's "Tales from the Crypt," "Herman's Head," "Knots
Landing," "Who's The Boss?," and “Married ... with Children." She also
hosted ESPN's "Extreme Bloopers." She also appeared as the reigning
champion of American Gladiator (Celebrity Match) which ran for two
years.
In 2000, Debbe played a role as Danielle in a TV family-thriller “The
Spiral Staircase.” From the director of TV series “Dead Zone” and
“Twilight Zone”, the story evolves inside a house where people are
trapped with a killer. In 2002, she was cast as the Sun Goddess in
actor-director Jeff Anderson’s comedy-romance film “Now You Know”. The
story evolves around these two couple calling off their wedding on the
eve of the guy’s bachelor party.
In 2003, Debbe made a retrospective for Home Improvement together with
Tim Allen and Richard Karn which featured a mixed of reflections,
question and answers, and most exciting episodes from the show. It was
then compiled in the DVD format.
Not only in TV shows and film appearances did Debbe earned
recognition, although much of an adult theme, she was dubbed as the
“Queen of Cyberspace” biggest of high demands of her internet photos,
an amazing 650,000 plus downloads. It cannot be denied that she is
among the popular stars on the World Wide Web.
On May 11, 1997, Debbe was married to Olympic gold-medalist (Men’s
Volleyball) Steve Timmons who also had a couple of film flicks such as
the drama film “Spiker,” and comedy-romance “Side Out”. Steve is also
the owner of a popular line of casual clothing in Encinitas,
California…Red Sand. Although she gave birth first to a daughter named
Spencer Schae Timmons before getting married, they were both respected
by the public eye. In the year 200, they marriage resulted to another
child, a baby boy which they named Stony.
Currently, she is spending her time with her kids and doing an
endorsement for a breasts enlargement drink.
