“Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me, why is my reflection someone I don’t know…”

A beautiful song, a beautiful soundtrack, a beautiful animation and simply a beautiful singer, who else but Christina Aguilera? Who will ever forget the “Reflection” song which stayed on the charts for more than a month?

Born Christina Maria Aguilera, she was raised by Jim and Shelly in Wexford, Pennsylvania but the sad part here is that her parents divorced when she was a little girl and lived with her mother. She was the eldest of two brothers and two sisters.

At a young age, Christina used to sing the national anthem in various events and occasions in her hometown area. At 9, she appeared in Star Search as a junior vocalist and then performed in different television and radio shows -- acting, singing and dancing. She had sung national anthem at Penguins, Pittsburg Steelers and Pirates Games.

During Season 6 and 7 of then Mickey Mouse Club, she got a role on MMC together with Britney Spears, Keri Russell of Felicity and JC and Justin of ‘N Sync. She stayed in the club for quite some time until the show ended and leaving all the MMC fans into nowhere. Well, all good things seem to come to an end and the young, cheery mouseketeer will have to say goodbye.

It was only a few years when she was offered another project from Disney and immediately grabbed the opportunity. She will once more entertain not only MMC fans but a lot of people as well with her soft but powerful voice. Remember the Disney animated movie “Mulan?” The “Reflection” song as well as the singer received popularity as it got high radio airplay, 100,000 units sold and rose up to the charts. Can you imagine her success that before she completed an album or even before its release, she already got a gold record? Not to mention her “Mulan” music video where she appeared in a different image, changing her hairstyle and with a more matured voice.

In 1999, more success came when her hit single “Genie in the Bottle” outshined any other songs and singers even hip-hop icon Puff Daddy by selling 500,000 units and made it to the number one spot with a bang. It was a fact that it is hard to believe that this Diva was only in her early 20’s.

Christina is perhaps one of the most talented female artists of today. She has indeed won the hearts of the public, bypassing lyrics targeted towards the cheap pop fans and it is safe to say that most of the song lyrics are done with a lot of effort and dedication. But the sad truth is, her father was not there during her journey to stardom. It was 1988 when she last saw her father. There are also rumors that she was a victim of domestic violence where the person in charge was her grandfather.

It can never be denied or hidden to the public’s eye that the two ex-Mouseketeers (Brittney Spears and Christina) have a stiff competition with regards to music and in the sex department. They both had a crush on MTV’s Carson Daly. A lot of title-tattle came out on whether Daly had already seen the two naked and more obscene than that. It was pretty obvious that something was up between Carson and Aguilera with the way the former introduced the latter during the MTV’s New Year show. It was based on a public display of affection -- little hand holding and sweet talking. There was also a gossip during their strip show attendance the night before the Super Bowl although Carson was seen dating Super model Tara Reid.

She had a lot of dating rumors and that can’t be impossible because this 5’5 multi-talented stunner has it all. There was also a report from New York Post that Enrique Inglesias and Christina were seen dancing nastily together in a New York bar one late night. Her recent love affair was with one of her dancers Jorge Santos whom she is living with.
